THE STORY BEHIND SCALLOP SHACK FARMS
Scallop Shack Farms began during quarantine 2020, when husbandand wife team Brady & Amanda started selling fresh, off the boat scallops to friends, family and looking for quality seafood.
What started out of the back of our pickup truck in a grocery store parking lot quickly grew into farmers markets across South Jersey.
Brady has been commercial scalloping since 1999 and a captain for nearly fifteen years. In 2021, we purchased our first fishing vessel, “SALTED” , allowing us to bring seafood directly from the boat to our customers.
In 2023, we opened our brick-and-mortar market in Cape May, NJ, offering American wild-caught seafood, our own catch whenever possible, and house-made prepared foods.
Then in 2026, SALTED got a serious upgrade. Our new 50-foot fishing vessel allows Captain Brady to target multiple fisheries throughout the year — from scallops to tilefish, + more.
Today, you can find Brady on the water and Amanda at the market + farmers markets throughout South Jersey, still focused on connecting our customers with incredible wild, American-caught seafood and the fishermen behind it.
From our boat to your table. Thank you for being part of the SSF story!
